Biographical Profile of Mark Cornett
An experienced entrepreneur and general business manager, Mark Cornett is Chief Operating Officer of NexID Biometrics LLC, a leader in biometric-authentication-software solutions.
NexID develops and licenses liveness-detection software that enables fingerprint-scanning technologies to authenticate scanned images with high degrees of accuracy and confidence by mitigating spoof-related risks. The company also provides testing and analysis of fingerprint-scanning devices to identify existing vulnerabilities to known spoofing strategies.
Cornett joined NexID Biometrics in late 2011, following a decade of general management and startup experience as COO with both Fused Solutions, a business-process outsourcing firm in the help desk and technical-support-services industry, and its spinout, SpiceCSM, a SaaS company in the contact center space.
Before Fused Solutions and SpiceCSM, Cornett spent 13 years at Clarkson University as a business school faculty member and academic program director in engineering and management. He was a sales and marketing professional with Hewlett-Packard for the first 10 years of his professional career.
Cornett earned his bachelor's degree in engineering and management from Clarkson University and his MBA from Northeastern University's Graduate School of Business.
