Investor Criteria

Individual investors must qualify as "Accredited Investors" as defined under Rule 501 of the SEC regulations. This rule defines an individual accredited investor as: "Any natural person whose individual net worth or joint net worth with that person's spouse at the time of his/her purchase exceeds $1,000,000; OR "Any natural person who had an individual income in excess of $200,000 in each of the two most recent years or joint income with that person's spouse in excess of $300,000 in each of those years and has a reasonable expectation of reaching the same income level in the current year." Investors may also qualify as representatives of an accredited institutional investor (such as trusts, charitable organizations, corporations, and such) with total assets in excess of $5MM. Additional criteria include:

  • Investors must agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the Point Positive Investor Agreement.
  • Investors must pay an annual membership fee (currently $2,000) and a 2% assessment fee on investments made which together support the organization's operations.
  • Investors must be willing to be active investors, as well as coach/mentors as appropriate.
