As the 12th child of a family with 13 children, Ted grew up in both Malone, NY and Greenwich, CT. He has dual degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. After college Ted worked for the Navy in Newport, RI performing research and development of Submarines and Undersea Warfare Systems. He spent most of his career in the Washington DC region working in engineering and management positions on next generation Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems for the Intelligence Community. He managed the Tactical Systems Directorate at the Aerospace Corporation and was a Senior Vice President at ElanTech Systems.
Ted is currently the CEO of Coughlin Capital Corporation, a venture capital company based in Northern Virginia as well as the CEO of Ironclad Brewery, a Wilmington, NC craft brewery. In addition Ted is on the board of directors for multiple corporations providing strategic vision and business experience to growing companies.
